“Beatles :XL-Pack 03” by Beatles as a MIDI file. It holds the notes, their length and velocity, the tempo and each instrument's settings — no recorded audio: everything stays editable in your sequencer or arranger keyboard.

What you download

MIDI Editable .mid file: key, tempo, instruments and the volume of each track. Several variants depending on your gear — GM-0 puts every instrument on a single track, GM-1 gives one track per instrument, XG is tuned for Yamaha, GS for Roland, GM2 for recent devices.

All these formats come from the same original MIDI file: same arrangement, same tempo, same length.

Compatibility

A MIDI file opens in every sequencer and score editor: Cubase, Logic Pro, Reaper, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Reason, GarageBand, MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale, Encore. It also loads directly on Yamaha (Tyros, Genos, PSR), Korg (Pa), Roland and Ketron arranger keyboards, and on sound modules.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MIDI file contain audio?

No. A MIDI file contains performance instructions — which note, when, how loud — not recorded sound. Your keyboard, sound module or software produces the sound, and that is exactly what lets you change everything afterwards. If you want a ready-to-play audio file, choose the MP3 version of the same title.

Can I change the key or the tempo?

Yes on the MIDI file, with no loss of quality: transpose, slow down, speed up, remove or replace an instrument, print the score of a single track. Nothing is frozen into a recording. The MP3, by contrast, is fixed: its key and tempo cannot be changed.

What is the difference between GM, XG, GS and GM2?

They are sound-bank standards. GM (General MIDI) is universal: 128 instruments recognised by every device. XG is Yamaha's extension, GS is Roland's, GM2 a shared evolution. Each adds its own sounds and settings. When in doubt, the GM version works everywhere.

Are the lyrics included?

On part of the catalogue, yes: the lyrics are written into the MIDI file, synchronised syllable by syllable, and appear on keyboards and software able to read them. When that is the case, the note “lyrics included” appears on this page.

My song is not in the catalogue?

We transcribe it for you, by ear, whatever the style. You get a multitrack MIDI file of the same quality as the catalogue, made specially for you. No artificial intelligence involved.
